TALT (Teen Adult Leader Training)
TALT is an overnight counselor training event held at the 4-H Center where camp will be held.  Teen counselors are NOT required to attend TALTThis does not mean that you are not welcome to attend – we would love to see you there! If you decide to go, it will be on your own. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to come together as a group to begin the planning process for camp.  The Fairfax, Arlington, and Alexandria camping cluster will be attending on March 22 and 23, 2014.

Before Applying
Before you apply, please give careful consideration to why you want to be a counselor.  If you are selected, you will be expected to work hard, demonstrate maturity, and model responsible behavior throughout the entire week of camp.  You must be willing to set a good example with your actions and attitude.  You will probably not have a lot of free time to socialize with your friends.  Please do not apply if your only goal is a social opportunity.  You can expect to learn a great deal about yourself and others and to acquire skills that will serve you for a lifetime.  Please call us if you have questions.

Attention Adults!
We are always looking for some adult volunteers to attend camp as chaperones.  Adults camp for free and many employers offer up to two days of community service leave that you can take advantage of to come to camp.  We prefer that volunteers commit to the full camp, but we may also be able to work out some shorter volunteer arrangements.  If you are interested, please contact your local extension agent.

Thank you for considering this opportunity and we look forward to receiving your applications!
