Congratulations for Some Recent Outstanding Club Achievements

The Mount Vernon 4-H Adventurers are recipients of the Generations United grant for $1000 to support an intergenerational gardening and cooking project they'll undertake this year.

The Krazy for K-9's Dog Training Club are recipients of the Gilbert S. McCutcheon Friend of Frying Pan Farm Park Award this year.

The Get SET Reston Club received a donation of $3000 from SRI International to support their robotics project.

The newest addition to Fairfax County 4-H, the Time for Technology Club received a $500 donation from Binary Group Inc., a $500 donation from Hatch Mott MacDonald, and a donation of 22 laptops from GAITS, Inc. to support their robotics project

Kids Tech University
October 13th and November 10th
Virginia State University
Kids Tech University is an opportunity for kids age 9 - 12 and their parents to
observe lectures by world renowned research scientists and participate in interactive hands-on activities. The topics for this year's sessions are "Computer Science in the World: From Toy Brains to Keeping Trees Healthy" and "Why Do We Care About Frog' Health?" There is a $20 registration fee for each child which includes lunch for the child and parents and a t-shirt.  Registration opens at 6 PM on September 5.  More information and registratio details can be found here
